Opportunity: Global Engineer Fellowships 2017 | Engineers Without Borders

There are some fantastic opportunities for UK undergraduates to participate in EWB’s Global Engineering Fellowships. The Deadline for applications are in Mid-January. Several of the opportunities being offered this year are in the clean energy sector.

This is what EWB say about the scheme:

Our Global Engineer Fellowships are a collaboration between our partners, practising engineers and student members. We believe that through greater collaboration, support and peer to peer learning our fellowship teams can pioneer a more collaborative and impactful approach to how we work with our international partners.

Global Engineer Fellowships place a team of engineers (Senior Fellows) and engineering students (Junior Fellows) together to work on a project put forward by one of our partner organisations in conjunction with Engineers Without Borders UK. The programme entails two or three Junior Fellows working together with two Senior Fellows on a specific component of the latter’s work.

Our Senior Fellowships are targeted at individuals who have at least two years (working) experience and are interested in strengthening their own managerial and mentoring skills and want to contribute to programme design alongside Engineers Without Borders UK and our partner.

Junior Fellowship opportunities are open to teams of 1 to 3 students from a UK University or equivalent BTEC/NVQ institution who have as a minimum successfully completed at least 1 year of their higher education studies (or equivalent work experience).

Junior Fellows will work on a design brief from the UK, with support from Senior Fellows and have the opportunity to spend up to one month or more with the partner to implement their project.

Questions? We are a small team so please do not contact the office directly, you should find the answers on our FAQs page.
