Request for your data of recently installed off-grid electricity plants ~ IRENA statistics database

To demonstrate the benefits of off-grid renewables, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is currently making a big effort to collect data about off-grid electricity production. This information will be included in IRENA’s statistics databases and publications and used in IRENA’s efforts to promote off-grid renewables.

IRENA would be grateful if readers could send them any information they have about the capacity of recently installed off-grid plants, including the year of commissioning and number of beneficiaries or end-users of the electricity (if known). IRENA is interested to know about any recent installations, from solar lights and home systems, to solar mini-grids, pumping solutions, communication masts, small-scale hydro and off-grid wind and bioenergy plants.

If any readers have information they are willing to share, they can send it to Apoorva Satpathy (asatpathy@irena.org) or let her know they are willing to share and she can contact them by phone or email to collect the information. All replies will be treated in the strictest confidence (only aggregated statistics will be published) and companies and individuals providing data will be acknowledged in IRENA’s off-grid statistics report.
