Within the USES programme, the basic goal of the network is to provide a strong integrative forum where the researchers involved in the USES projects can support and learn from each other via:
- promoting best practice and knowledge exchange between the projects funded;
- facilitating co-ordinated impact and dissemination work (both via the wider LCEDN community and beyond);
- using the USES programme as a vehicle for raising the profile of Energy and International Development research within the wider UK academic community; and
- representing the 12 projects to the funders via coordinating annual reporting and representing the projects on programme review panel meetings.
