ENERGIA report: 'Supporting last-mile women energy entrepreneurs: What works and what does not'

This ENERGIA publication examines, analyses and presents models and strategies experienced during the implementation of the Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) programme, describing successful approaches, together with failures. Together with five leading partners (Solar Sister, Kopernik, Energy 4 Impact, Practical Action EA and CRT-Nepal), ENERGIA has supported 4,153 women, delivering clean energy products and services to more than 2.9 million consumers, mostly in rural areas and in low-income communities. The four-year programme (2014-2018) was supported by the Swedish International Development Agency, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
