Up to £22m is to be invested in innovation projects that will help countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia access secure, low-cost and low-carbon energy. Energy Catalyst Round 7 is due to launch on 17 June 2019 with the aim to support highly innovative, market-focused energy solutions which hit all three areas of the energy trilemma (low cost, low carbon and secure) and focus on the energy access needs of Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
Innovate UK is inviting UK organisations to join one of the following 3 international brokerage missions to help understand the energy access needs in these markets and to help find international partners:
Mission to Myanmar
Where: Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar
When: 6 - 12 July 2019

Why apply?
Within the 5-day programme, you will:
· Attend an international event with the opportunity to pitch to local companies and organisations
· Join group site visits to local companies, renewable energy plants and villages that use renewable energy technologies
· Attend a reception with key government officials and private sector companies
· Receive support and advice from the British Chamber of Commerce and Department for International Trade (DIT)
· Attend a pre-mission briefing in London in early July.
