Stronger Together: Why Networks of Energy Access Practitioners Matter

Register for the first WISIONS Webinar on 18 January!

On 18 January, start off the New Year with WISIONS new webinar series! The first webinar, “Stronger Together: Why Networks of Energy Access Practitioners Matter”, will focus on why practitioners' networks are valuable.

Access to energy has the potential to change lives across the Global South, and it is enshrined in Sustainable Development Goal 7. But often efforts are fragmented, and the same mistakes are repeated.

That’s where networks of energy practitioners come in. Energy practitioners are spearheading efforts to make sure that those most at risk of being ‘left behind’ are included. Their work in the field, academia, development institutions and in communities means that they have in-depth knowledge of the requirements, conditions, and challenges of ensuring sustainable energy access. Mobilizing their knowledge and expertise is essential to achieving SDG 7 and supporting many other SDGs for people and the planet.

Register now and mark your calendar for 1 PM GMT on 18 January 2018!

In the meantime, watch our latest video, From Paris to Action at Local Level in the Global South, from our side event at COP23 in Bonn!

How can energy access practitioners and other non-state actors contribute to the global climate change agenda? Hear what practitioners, policymakers, and researchers have to say - and add your comments!
